We always aim to provide a smooth booking experience from reminders to re-book, to paying for an appointment in just a few taps. StyleSeat now charges a standard booking fee to cover the operational costs of providing a smooth booking experience. This will require a credit/debit card to be added at the time of booking.
The booking fee will power things like customer support, new feature development, and security measures. This is standard practice that other similar platforms use.
The booking fee will replace the authorization, so you should never see two charges. If an appointment is canceled, we’ll refund the booking fee assuming that the appointment meets our Cancellation Policy.
In addition to that, we are going to radically improve the experience and soon, we will be launching SMS Customer Support which is something our community has been asking for!
